I Don’t Approve of Apple’s Approval (Process)

There are many problems with Apple’s closed app store and this is one of them. The developers of Minigore an awesome dual-stick survival shooter for the Iphone submitted an update on the sixth of August. It is the 28th of August, and the update has still not been released. There is no reason why this update has taken so long to go through the system. I think it is evident that Apple’s approval process is not efficient enough to handle the amount of new apps and updates coming through the pipe. I think that Apple needs a larger review team as more apps are developed for the Iphone platform or they must go the route of Google and the Android store and open the store up and only review apps that are reported. By not letting this update and many other updates Apple is hurting themselves and the developers who write apps for the Iphone. Not just that; they are also making the end users of the Iphone re-think their decision to pay those outlandish wireless fees demanded by AT&T. If Apple does not fix it’s approval process the app store will not reach it’s full potential; If Apple does fix the app store’s approval process their is nothing keeping the Iphone and it’s app store from growing.
