Goodbye Cursive… Hello Cursive Font

Recently the state of Indiana eliminated the requirement that forced all grade-school children to learn cursive. This effectively mean no one in Indiana in fifty years will know cursive. I guess people will use some kind of fake cursive signature and leave it at that. I personally enjoy writing in cursive. It goes much faster than print, and in my opinion it’s a little bit more legible. I guess most people don’t share my opinion. It is a changing world, I foresee most school work being done entirely on computers within the next half-century.

Watching The Real Housewives of Orange County

This is the worst mistake I have ever made. There is more cursing on this show in five minutes compared to a whole episode of Southpark. It is painful to watch this crap. It is so hard to change the channel though. I guess that’s what makes it so darn popular.

Lately it seems as though the amount of television I watch decreases every day. I hardly watch either of my two favorite channels, History and Discovery. I used to watch them to hear and see history. Now it seems all they show are modern reality Tv shows. I’m sorry “Ice Road Truckers” & “Pawn Stars”. You are mighty fine, but not all that informative. Sometimes I learn an interesting fact or two, but that’s just dumb luck. Now all the good shows are stuck on side projects run by those two countries: The Military Channel (Discovery Channel Owned) and History Interactive (I think that is what it is called).

I hope you come back to your old ways…

The Pomodoro Technique.

I am currently using this technique called Pomodoro (tomato in Italian). This is a method invented in Italy to become more productive. It works by dividing work into thirty minute blocks. 25 of which is work with a five minute break. It seems to help me focus better, and it’s extremely easy to implement.
