Posted in OpinionReviews

Recently I realilzed that I needed a fullsize keyboard for my HP Mini 311 laptop. At first I looked at the Razer tarantula, and other keybaoards like the Microsoft sidewinder.

But I soon realized that these keyboards would be too rich for my blood. I started looking at some cheaper options. I found an article on Coding Horror. Many people recommended the Comfort Curve 2000 as a minimalistic keyboard that had a great key layout and was easy on the wrists. With multiple people giving this fairly cheap keyboard “props”. I decided to take the plunge and buy the $20 keyboard.

I bought it off Newegg.com and waited patiently as it arrived in around 4 days, through a snow storm! The keyboard came with a usb cable and no PS2 adapter, I wasn’t expecting to get one. But if you are looking to free up a USB port you are out of luck. The keyboard has a standard selection of keys. It has a play/pause/forward/back media buttons. The best function this keyboard offers, however, is not the media buttons or the dedicated webbrowser buttons, and not even the curved ergonomic design. The absolute best feature of this keyboard is the dedicated calculator button! With in seconds you can spawn 20 identical calculators!

Seriously, thought I really appreciate the many well-thought-out features of this keyboard. It is very comfortable to type on, but it does take a little while to get used to the curved layout of the keyboard. The curves of this keyboard cause some of the keys to be larger than the rest of their peers. The keyboard doesn’t have mechanical switched bu the typing action is good enough. If you aren’t looking for a hardcore gaming keyboard and you don’t want to spend $600 a week on a secretary to type out every word you speak during the work day this is an ideal keyboard for you.

Posted in Opinion

Microsoft; Tear Down This Wall! ODST has been out for over a month and the new maps that were included with it have not been mentioned at all in respect to when they will appear on the store. I do not plan on buying ODST, because I have bought all the map packs for Halo 3 up until now. Hmm, there has been atleast three map packs before the mythic disk, so I have spent thirty dollars on map packs alone. Plus the sixty dollars for the game. So I would be paying about half of the price of ODST on maps that I already own. So ten dollars of the price goes to the maps that are new on the mythic disk. So 60-30-10=$20 for a short campaign. This does not seem worth my sixty dollars so I have decided to wait until the maps come out on the marketplace. I knew there would be a wait for the people who didn’t own the mythic disk, and I accept that. But come on I haven’t heard a word about the maps being released on the marketplace and it’s been more than a month since the game has been out. I hope that the maps are released soon on the store so that I can actually play in some fun Halo multiplayer playlists. But for now I guess I will resort to Modern Warfare 2.
