Windows Vista; Please Stop Complaining About It

Even though Windows Vista was released over three years ago people are still complaining about it and I am sick and tired of their whining. I have been using Vista for over 2 years, and I haven’t had one problem. People need to get over their unnecessary hate of Vista.

I have used Vista for over 2 years now and I find that everyone that complains about it is usually exaggerating. Vista is great it adds eye candy and runs very quickly. I have had one ‘”fabled” blue screen in the last year, because I was messing with something. Unlike what Apple’s propaganda spews out Vista is very reliable and easy to use.

I am not a Windows “fanboy” but seriously come on, if you look logically at what people say about Windows Vista you can see that many of them have no real experience with the operating system and are going off of other people’s opinions. It has been three years and another operating system later. All those who have upgraded to Windows 7 to “escape” from the “horrors” of Windows Vista you have been duped. When you get right down to it Windows 7 is just Vista with another taskbar and some minor speed/usability improvements. The core OS is totally the same.

Vista doesn’t deserve the tarnished reputation it has been given. When Vista came out people weren’t ready for it. People were trying to upgrade 5 year old Windows XP machines with 500 megahertz processors. You know what it is their fault for trying to run a much nicer OS on an antiquated PC. If you put ten people in a room with Vista and 7 they wouldn’t even be able to choose the better one.

I think people just complain about Vista because it is an easy target, the “Vista Bashers” all repackage and repeat the same old things. I think all these complaints are unfounded and stem from the release day problems with people trying to run it on old hardware. Truly, I am still waiting for someone to give me something that really separates Vista from the beloved Windows 7.

    THANK YOU!!!
Gosh I work in the Computer Industry and I get shitloads of people complaining of Vista. I have had NO problems, 2 of my computers are STILL on Vista, and it is perfect… I never got a blue screen of death… never.

As the blogger/writer said, you need the specs. If you have shit specs you get bad results. Same with Win7.

I have found nothing wrong with Vista at all, easy to use, easy to run and just pretty and everything else. I threw Win7 on 2 other computers and the only thing is, it is a little bit more prettier, and it is faster. But then my specs are again, a LOT better…. what is to be said?

Both are good. If they are not good, then you don’t know how to use it. Simple.

the main issue was that microsoft was giving away these “vista capable” stickers to poorly endowed laptop. Performance wise Vista was great on correctly powered computer, but was certainly lacking of optimization for slow laptop . I currently own a laptop which came with vista pre-installed but with 1GB memory , the whole thing feeled slow, the laptop took forever to resume from hibernate, I quickly downgraded to xp losing some of my laptop features. nevertheless the whole was stable, but even XP was (laptop are platform that are stable enough regarding the hardware).
Thankfully, installing 7 did solve most of my performance issue.
